Nearing The Last Day

November 30, 2011 § 9 Comments

TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY OF NANOWRIMO! This year has been far better than last year, and I am feeling very proud of myself at this moment. Kade is a bit ahead, but only a bit and as long as I finish I don’t care *all* that much if I’m the winner between the two of us or not.

I’m just proud of myself.

Right now, I’m not going to lie, ny novel sucks. Totally and completely. There are cardboard main characters, strange unexplained events that won’t *get* explained over the next day, and lots of strange sentences that need some serious deleting.

Damian: How do you delete something seriously? Also, yeah, your novel sucks Sarah.

*Ignore him*

But over all, I am so proud of myself. For the first time yesterday, I looked over my novel and felt… I don’t know, like there was some real light shinning through some of my creaks of bad writing. There was something really *pretty* underneath all of my muck. And that’s what this is all for isn’t it?

So yeah. My last day of NaNo maybe behind the Coffee Machine, but it will also be full of love and happiness and songs of ‘THANK GOD IS FREAKING FINALLY OVER” and probably a lot of other curse words.
